REI Gift-Wrap Fundraiser
ICO: REI Gift-Wrap Fundraiser 2008

Greetings, volunteers and supporters:

It is REI gift-wrapping time again for Atlanta Inner City Outings (ICO)! Atlanta ICO is in need of volunteers for its winter fundraiser on December 19-24, 2008.

With volunteers' help last year, ICO raised over $3,800, all of which went directly to taking inner city youth on outdoor adventures. We can take 150 plus kids out into the woods during the year with this funding.

If you are interested in helping ICO with this year's funding, getting these kids outdoors and getting into the holiday spirit, please contact us!

The Atlanta Inner City Outings program is a community outreach program that provides low-income, inner city youth with trips into the wilderness. Atlanta ICO volunteers take children from area Schools on outdoor adventures to learn about nature and to increase their environmental awareness, interpersonal skills and self-esteem. At REI, "We inspire, educate and outfit for a lifetime of outdoor adventure and stewardship". Each year, REI donates millions of dollars to support conservation efforts nationwide, and sends scores of volunteers to build trails, clean up beaches, and teach outdoor ethics to kids. Through responsible business practices, we strive to reduce our environmental footprint. (visit our website)
